EVA MAGYAR ACTING COACH

I am an established actor and acting coach, director and choreographer based in London. Originally from Budapest, I have worked extensively throughout Europe and America teaching the technique that has contributed to this success.

I have been lucky enough to work with some of the most prestigious theatres in the world, including The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, Berkeley Repertory in San Francisco and the Royal National Theatre in London. I have also been privileged enough to have worked with directors such as Ivo von Hove and actors such as Michael Fassbender, Ruth Wilson and Kevin Bacon.

I have run acting workshops at Yale, UCLA, Santa Barbara, The National Youth Theatre, The Actors Centre in addition to directing at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. I run bespoke coaching workshops, personalised to your needs in one-to-one or small group settings. I have a particular interest in both English and European acting styles and have extensive experience within Commedia del Arte, Dance and Physical theatre.

I can help with that new showreel or prepare for that audition, and provide that sense of confidence to help reach the next level in your acting career. I can offer one-off interventions but also run sequences of lessons in programmes over one or two weeks. I will provide you with a curriculum and detailed study notes, and at the end of each course or session, written feedback that forensically captures the strategies needed for continued excellence. My course develops your skills to enable you to be truly effective, by learning to communicate with authority, authenticity, confidence and impact.

Take my online assessment, grow as an actor, and develop as a person.

I coach in either English or Hungarian.

Sessions are available online and in person.
60 and 90 minutes sessions.
